Credible witnesses cite encounters with large man-like creatures, or
their sign, in North American forests. The “wildman of the woods”
is portrayed in tribal art and oral traditions. For many the sasquatch
are part of the natural and cultural landscape—a rare, reclusive, nonconfrontational species of primate. This guide will aid in distinguishing
the telltale signs of sasquatch from those of common wildlife. It
will instruct in the proper identification, documentation, collection,
and preservation of evidence—and whom to contact to report evidence
of a sasquatch encounter.

Ordered 4 of these and was disappointed that this version is not laminated in the same way as the ones at REI. It's instead more like a waxy paper similar to a lot of hiking maps. They were shipped in a box slightly too small for the guide so all of them arrived bent and creased. If you want the stiffer, laminated version it appears that REI is the only place that carries it in that format.Product details

Sasquatch Field Guide eBook Jeff Meldrum Reviews
My seven year old daughter is obsessed with bigfoot. We purchased this item to give to her for Christmas. It is a pamphlet, as described (not a book), but it's very sturdy. I have no worried about this falling apart in the rain or in her hiking backpack. The information is very pertinent and exactly what you'd expect to need as you hunt for bigfoot. My only complaint it that the item is a little pricey, but being a specialty item, what do you expect? If you or someone you know is a bigfoot fan, I'd recommend this as a gift. I'm sure she's going to flip out when she sees it!
...just for existing.
This wasn't Jeff Meldrum's fever dream. If you have seen a sasquatch, and reported it, you helped with this. This is the guidebook-consistent experience of thousands, put in a form that would fit right into most North American mammal guides.
And, if the evidence is any indication, should.
This short but informative booklet/pamphlet, clocking in at only 10 pages, gives a basic primer for the Sasquatch field researcher as to how to recognize footprints; distinguishing between bear, human and Sasquatch tracks; how to cast a track and what materials to carry to do just that (Meldrum gives a list of things to take into the field for casting, but says if you cannot carry a long list of materials to cast tracks, you can use a can of minimally-expanding insulating foam and a few pieces of cardboard); how to distinguish a standing bear from a human and Sasquatch; how to recognize different sounds and other important tips and advice. He also describes different areas that would be the most likely to have activity, and also answers to the best of his ability why bones of the Sasquatch are almost never found. This booklet only costs $7.95 and is laminated, designed to be waterproof and to be carried in a backpack or a back pocket or jacket pocket. It is available at and also Paracay.com And the only rating I can put on it is a perfect 10!!!!!!
I'll keep it with me just in case I see a 9 foot tall hairy biped.
I can pull out this field guide and comfirm the sighting.
9 feet tall? check. Bipedal? check. Hairy? check.
It's the best bigfoot field guide out there
For those who know that these hominoids exist or those who believe in them, then Dr. Jeff Meldrum's "Sasquatch Field Guide" is for you. It is loaded with information that would be of great interest to anyone seriously searching for this somewhat elusive creature.
Of special note are the profiles, print casts, and identifying features between bear and Bigfoot. Many biologists have come out and dismissed most Bigfoot sightings as cases of mistaken identity, citing bears as the most likely culprit. Anyone who knows bear and has been fortunate enough to have seen Bigfoot knows the difference. For those who don't this will be of great help.
It is meant to be taken out in the field. It is laminated and folds up into an easy to carry pocket guide. Along the top edge on one side is a ruled edge that goes up to a little over 21". That alone is worth the price of the guide. If hikers, hunters, as well as serious researchers carried one of these along with them, then there would be no excuse for not having a good measuring device when one accidentally stumbles upon that Bigfoot print.
I most highly recommend it.
Even if you're not a believer, its a fun, interesting, water proof pamphlet that gives you a lot of "basics" of what it could be, how to look for indications it would be around, and how to tell the difference between "known" tracks and known large animals.
One of the coolest little laminated pamphlet type things I've ever seen or you could ever own! Don't know if bigfoot is real. I sure want Bigfoot to be real but I don't think I've ever seen the proof until now that Bigfoot could be real. This photo might be doctored using forced perspective or something of the sort but if you see these two people where they are this is not a man in a monkey suit! If it is a man in a monkey suit he should call the Guinness Book of World Records because he's the tallest man alive. The only problem I have with the picture is the fact that why would they put the one subject on the exact opposite side of the woodpile? Why wouldn't they put the subject right next to where the Bigfoot is located so you can see for a fact the size difference period? If this is real, this cryptozoological entity is at minimum 10 feet tall and 1000 pounds!
Ordered 4 of these and was disappointed that this version is not laminated in the same way as the ones at REI. It's instead more like a waxy paper similar to a lot of hiking maps.
